I tutor IB History with a focus on Paper 2 essays, source work and the IA. I’ve spent the past six years working with DP students who need help turning strong knowledge into clear arguments. My own interest is modern European history, especially interwar politics, but I’m just as happy working through authoritarian states or Cold War case studies. I usually set short written tasks between lessons so progress is easy to spot.

Hi, I’m an IB History tutor and I mostly work with students who feel they know the content but freeze when it comes to writing. I like lessons to be practical: we look at real prompts, plan fast, then build sharper paragraphs. I’ve supported HL and SL students through the IA, Paper 1 source questions and the last few weeks before exams. I’m fairly relaxed in style, but I do push for exact evidence and clearer judgement.

I have taught IB History for nine years, including several cohorts preparing for HL exams. My lessons usually centre on essay structure, historiography and getting students to use evidence with more precision. I particularly enjoy teaching 20th-century wars and rights movements, and I regularly help students refine IA questions before they start drafting. I also review timed essays and show where marks are being lost.

I’m a History tutor who works only with IB students, usually online. A lot of my teaching is around making big topics manageable: causes of wars, single-party states, Cold War crises and Paper 1 sources. I’m calm but direct in lessons, and I’ll often ask students to rewrite a paragraph there and then so the feedback actually sticks. Students often come to me when their notes are good but their essays still feel messy.
